Looking to shop? The Treaty Shopping Centre in Hounslow is a large indoor shopping centre. It includes the Hounslow Arts Centre, a theatre, cinema and studio with a café and bar. Besides putting on shows and plays, it offers Saturday schools, ballet and street dance classes, as well as free performance training sessions, held by London Contemporary Theatre and Youth Theatre.

Alternatively, for a more picturesque and leisurely shopping experience, Chiswick High Road is lined with boutiques, name brand stores, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Head over to the Chiswick Flower Market on the first Sunday of every month for something floral.

Culture & The Arts

Hounslow is home to Syon House, one of the last great houses of London and home to the Duke of Northumberland. You can visit the house and its magnificent  gardens and it is even available as a wedding venue. Fun fact: the Great Hall in Syon House appears in the Netflix series Bridgerton. 

There are 3 museums in Hounslow: The Musical Museum, The London Museum of Steam and Water, and The Gunnersbury Park Museum.

Parks & Greenspaces in Hounslow

Popular green spaces in the borough include Bedfont Lakes Country Park, Osterley Park, Gunnersbury Park, Syon Park, and Hanworth Park. 

The largest, Hounslow Heath, is a local nature reserve that borders Richmond upon Thames. It covers 200 acres (80 hectares).
